Allison Schapker has been named as the winner of the 2018 WLI Langan Fall Meeting Scholarship. She has been chosen to represent WLI and ULI Philadelphia at the Fall Meeting in Boston from October 8-11. The scholarship, generously sponsored by Langan Engineering’s women’s resource group Women@Langan, is designed to raise the visibility and number of women leaders in ULI and the real estate industry, as well as to promote the participation of women at the 2018 Fall Meeting.
Allison brings more than 15 years of experience with mission-driven organizations to her role as Director of Capital Projects with Fairmount Park Conservancy. Trained as an architect and landscape architect, Allison works to develop public spaces that inspire investment and maximize impact. Mostly recently she has been selected for a coveted spot on the ULI National Product Council: Public Development and Infrastructure Council.
Prior to her role at the Conservancy, Allison led the multi-disciplinary design and programming team that planned and delivered the $375 million adventure destination, Summit Bechtel Reserve for the Boy Scouts of America. This work has been recognized by the AIA Committee on the Environment, the Society of Environmental Graphic Design, ASLA and featured in Dwell, Environmental Building News, ArchDaily, and FastCo.
In her spare time, Allison does work on her old house, rides an old police horse named Garth, and serves on the board of Impact100 Philadelphia and the Steering Committee of the Women’s Leadership Initiative of ULI. WLI and ULI Philadelphia are excited to offer Allison this great opportunity to represent them at the Fall Meeting in Boston.
