Recap: Tour of Strawberry Square in Harrisburg

Strawberry Square has been re-booted after 35 years with $25 million in redevelopment including a new 200,000-square-foot master lease with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. On Thursday September 15th, ULI members learned about three residential projects that are changing the face of the region. Brad Jones, President and CEo of Harristown Development Corporation, led this exclusive tour. The Philadelphia Redevelopment Authority invites competitive proposals from developers to purchase and rehab the former Germantown YWCA structure at 5820-24 Germantown Avenue in Philadelphia’s Germantown neighborhood. The proposed rehabilitation plan should take into consideration the neighborhood and provide an attractive, well-designed development that enhances the quality and physical appearance of the community. Renovation plans should be sensitive to the building’s historic context and preserve the building’s facade.
