Jeff Marrazzo has led the creation and growth of Spark Therapeutics from a research center within the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia to a fully integrated, commercial gene therapy company that is challenging the inevitability of genetic disease by discovering, developing and delivering potential treatments in ways unimaginable – until now. He also serves on Spark’s board of directors. Under Jeff’s leadership, Spark has received regulatory approval for the first gene therapy for a genetic disease approved in both the U.S. and EU, launched the first gene therapy for a genetic disease in the United States, and has established human proof-of-concept of Spark’s gene therapy platform in both the retina and liver. In the six years since founding Spark, Jeff has secured more than $1 billion in capital and built an organization of more than 400 colleagues. For two years running, Spark has been named to the top 10 of MIT Technology Review’s “50 Smartest Companies”. It’s also been recognized as one of 2018’s most innovative companies in Biotech by Fast Company. During a career that has spanned the public and private sectors, Jeff has consistently championed the potential benefits of precision medicine and healthcare reform for patients. Prior to Spark, he helped build the first genetic testing benefit management and pharmacogenomics medicines company up to and through the acquisition of a majority of the company's shares by CVS Caremark. Previously, Jeff served as an advisor to former Pennsylvania Governor Edward G. Rendell, where he led reforms in the financing and delivery of healthcare. Jeff currently serves as a board member of the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO). Jeff received a B.A. in economics and B.S.E. in systems science and engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. He also holds a dual M.B.A. / M.P.A. from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and Harvard University, a program which he founded.

As Executive Director of Select Greater Philadelphia, Matt Cabrey (Kay-Bree) leads the region-wide team effort to market our 11-county neighborhood of northern Delaware, southern New Jersey, and southeastern Pennsylvania to regional, national and international audiences as a top-tier place to establish and grow a business and a career. As a Council of the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia, Select Greater Philadelphia collaborates with academic, business and civic leaders, state and county economic development teams, and other partners to help infuse a new economic vibrancy across our collective community by attracting new businesses, jobs, talent and capital to our region. Matt created and hosts the Growing Greater podcast, showcasing stories of business success, innovation, entrepreneurship and economic development fueling growth across our community, and he conceived of and helps to produce the regional Emmy-award winning Growing Greater Philadelphia television program with NBC10 in Philadelphia. Prior to joining Select Greater Philadelphia, Matt held leadership roles with Shire plc, PNC Bank, Keystone Mercy Health Plan, and the American Red Cross. Matt has appeared on the PBS NewsHour, CNN, Fox Business Channel, The Wall Street Journal, International Business Times, and other media outlets. He is a regular speaker on topics associated with regional business growth, and Greater Philadelphia’s history and assets. Matt volunteers as an advisor and connector with businesses, trade associations, and philanthropic organizations. A graduate of Penn State University, Matt earned a Bachelor of Arts in journalism with a minor in sociology, and studied mass communications at Manchester University in England. He is a proud native of Philadelphia’s Overbrook neighborhood.

Mr. Daniel Killinger, Managing Director, Development leads a team of experienced development and construction professionals for National Real Estate Development, the wholly-owned development management subsidiary of National Real Estate Advisors, LLC. In this role, Mr. Killinger oversees a $1.5 billion project portfolio, comprising over two million square feet of mixed-use developments in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Washington DC and Philadelphia. Prior to role this, Mr. Killinger oversaw National Development’s East Market project in Philadelphia, PA as Director, Development. Mr. Killinger has spent his career focused on the design and development of urban mixed-use residential, office and retail projects. Mr. Killinger has diverse experience as a real estate professional in the design and development of urban, mixed-use projects as well as in the investment and asset management of residential and office buildings. Prior to joining National Real Estate Development, Mr. Killinger was Managing Director for Goldman Properties in New York, NY. At Goldman Properties, he oversaw residential condominium development projects in New York, NY. He also consulted on numerous mixed-use urban development projects along the east coast. Mr. Killinger began his career as an architect with Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates PC in New York, NY. Mr. Killinger received a Master of Science in Real Estate Development from Columbia University. He also received a Master of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts from Bucknell University.

Prema leads PIDC's Navy Yard team, which is responsible for strategic partnerships, planning, leasing, real estate development, marketing, communications, capital projects, site stewardship, public transportation, and property management at the Navy Yard for PIDC at the Navy Yard. Described by Politico as "the coolest shipyard in America" and by ULI as "one of the most successful office/industrial master-planned redevelopments in U.S. history," the Navy Yard is a 1,200-acre thriving waterfront community, with 7.5 million square feet of real estate in a mix of historic buildings and LEED®-certified construction oriented around world-class open space. The Navy Yard is home to nearly 15,000 employees and 170 companies. Previously, Prema ran the Planning and Economic Development at University City District, where she was responsible for the execution of several prominent civic real estate projects, including The Porch at 30th Street Station. She previously worked for PIDC in the Real Estate Services group from 2007-2010. Additionally, she has worked at Yale University and at the Urban Land Institute, where she authored a book about placemaking and mixed-use development. Raised in Connecticut, Prema is a graduate of Bowdoin College and the University of Pennsylvania School of Design. Prema lives in Philadelphia’s West Mount Airy neighborhood with her husband and her two children.

Mitch is a Partner at PwC and currently serves as one of the firm’s Business Development Leaders. He previously was a principal founder of PwC’s real estate advisory practice, and has over 35 years of experience serving a wide array of real estate investors, foreign and domestic. Mitch leads of the firm’s real estate research efforts, and is a widely-recognized market commentator on real estate, housing and the economy. He is a regular guest on Fox Business Network, Fox News Channel and Bloomberg Radio. An active proponent of corporate social responsibility, Mitch serves as a trustee and member of the executive committee of the PwC Charitable Foundation, where he leads its grant-making efforts in youth education and financial literacy. Additionally, Mitch is a member of the Board of Directors of PENCIL and Green Bronx Machine. He resides in Armonk, New York, with his wife Debbie and their teenage twin boys, and Charlie their golden retriever.

Alexandra has over 25 years of experience in the real estate industry and previously worked for Resmark where she opened the Mid-Atlantic office in 2013 to provide equity to developers of for-sale housing with investments in the Washington, D.C., and Philadelphia regions. Alexandra had earlier gained national experience at Arthur Andersen, and credit training at Riggs Bank. There, in addition to appraisal review, Alexandra performed special valuation projects including in London for the UK operation. Prior to moving into the equity industry, she provided debt in structured finance, affordable housing, and traditional banking sectors. Alexandra is a member of the Urban Land Institute, serving colleagues on the Residential Neighborhood Development Council. She previously chaired the Northern Virginian BIA Real Estate Finance Committee, served as President of the Real Estate Lenders Association in Washington, D.C., and has led fundraising efforts for several local non-profits. Alexandra studied at the University of Maryland, majoring in English Literature, with a minor in Business. Alexandra was previously licensed as a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser, prior to embarking on a career as a capital provider.

Lauren Gilchrist is Senior Vice President/Senior Director of Research for JLL in Philadelphia, where she directs JLL’s local market research platform for the region. Lauren’s specialties include urban and regional economics and demography. Prior to joining JLL, Lauren served as the Manager of Research & Analysis at the Center City District in Philadelphia and as a Research Analyst/Program Manager at the Center for Regional Economic Competitiveness in Arlington, Virginia. Lauren received her MS in Public Policy and Management with concentrations in Urban and Regional Economic Development and International Trade and Development from Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College and a BS in Business Administration from Bucknell University. She serves as President of the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of NAIOP, on the Advisory Board for Temple’s Professional Science Master’s in GIS, and on the Board of Directors for the Old City Community Fund. Lauren is a frequent lecturer and commentator on topics related to commercial real estate and economic development, with recent work cited in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Globe Street, and NBC10, among other outlets. She was named a Philadelphia Business Journal “40 Under 40 Honoree” in 2016.

John Grady serves as President and CEO of PIDC, Philadelphia’s public-private development corporation, where he is responsible for the organization’s efforts to develop and implement collaborative strategies designed to drive investment and economic growth to every corner of Philadelphia. John leads PIDC’s efforts to strengthen relationships with Philadelphia’s public, private and philanthropic sectors to attract and deliver resources that promote business growth, investment and development across the city and throughout its economy. He directs internal activities around strategy, business development, capitalization, impact assessment, and the development and delivery of real estate and financing initiatives and products that fill project financing gaps for both neighborhood and large-scale commercial, industrial and mixed-use developments, deliver capital to growing businesses, and energize the development of the city’s workplaces of the future. With nearly 30 years of leadership experience in public-private partnerships that drive investment, development and job growth in and around Philadelphia, John joined PIDC in 1998, serving in a variety of senior leadership positions including overseeing city-wide real estate development activity and the acquisition and redevelopment of The Navy Yard, and has been its President since 2011. Prior to joining PIDC, John spent 9 years with the Cooper’s Ferry Development Association planning and developing Camden, NJ’s commercial waterfront. John is a native Philadelphian and a graduate from La Salle University with a BA in Economics and the University of Pennsylvania’s MPA program. He is active with a number of educational, business and civic organizations throughout the city, including as a Trustee at La Salle University and Roman Catholic High School; a Distinguished Alumni Fellow at the Fels Institute of Government at the University of Pennsylvania; and as a Director of the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, the Collegiate Consortium for Workforce and Economic Development and the East Falls Development Corporation.

Joe Reagan brings over 30 years of commercial real estate experience to his current role leading the Northeast Region for Wexford Science + Technology. As the Northeast Region Executive and Senior Vice President for Wexford, Joe is chartered with developing and executing projects focused on growing Innovation Districts in West Philadelphia, known as uCity Square, in Providence, known as the Design & Innovation District and in Pittsburgh’s Innovation Corridor. With 15 years of institutional real estate, design and construction experience in Philadelphia, Joe has a strong track record of results, developing nearly 3.5 million square feet of laboratory, office and retail space. Before joining Wexford, Joe was Assistant Vice President of Real Estate and Architecture for the University of Pennsylvania Health System (UPHS), where he oversaw 5 million square feet of owned and leased facilities and directed the Health System design and construction department with an annual capital budget in excess of $100 million. Joe graduated with a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Architecture from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. He is also a registered architect in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
