    Hear from Jaime Flaherty, Managing Director / CFO, U3 Advisors about her work as Vice Chair the University Development & Innovation Council.
     
    Formatted as an intimate conversation, the morning will begin with breakfast and networking before transitioning to our featured presenter, sharing their work and insights.     Jaime Flaherty

    U3 Advisors

    Jaime joined U3 Advisors in 2010 and provides expertise in market, financial, fiscal, and strategic analysis with over twelve years experience in real estate and economic development consulting. Her skills include project management, detailed market research, complex financial modeling, and tailored quantitative analysis. In addition to her work with clients, Jaime manages the internal operations of the firm. At U3A, Jaime has served as a project manager for a wide variety of assignments and clients, including off-campus real estate strategies, managing campus master planning processes, negotiating student housing partnerships, forming business improvement entities, creating housing incentive programs, conducting predevelopment due diligence, and tailoring organizational and financial structures. Notable projects include managing the Drexel University Facilities and Real Estate department while recruiting a new vice president, conducting a neighborhood housing strategy, project managing the funding and pre-development of a new K-8 school, redefining key capital planning processes, and working with multiple stakeholders on a space planning strategy for DU. Jaime also manages the operations of and advises on the Reimagining the Civic Commons project, a national initiative to foster engagement, equity, environmental sustainability and economic development in our cities. She continues to advise key clients in various capacities including the University of Maryland, University of Chicago, and the University of Pretoria in South Africa. Prior to U3A, Jaime worked in the Washington D.C. and New York offices of Economics Research Associates. At ERA, Jaime worked primarily with developers conducting significant due diligence on the market and financial feasibility of proposed urban, mixed-used projects across the country. Jaime has experience as an economic real estate consultant for all major land use categories, including residential, retail, hotel, office, institutional, and research. Jaime received undergraduate degrees in business and psychology from the University of Pittsburgh. She has a Masters in City Planning, as well as a Certificate in Real Estate Development, from the University of Pennsylvania. She is an active member of the Urban Land Institute, serving as Co-Chair of the Women’s Leadership Initiative and and as a member of the University Development & Innovation Council (UDIC).
