Nearly a decade of suppressed housing construction, combined with a consistently growing population, has resulted in a shortage of residential units region-wide in the Lehigh Valley. A mismatch between household incomes and housing price points is also occurring. This TAP will include local, regional, and national panelists to provide recommendations to increase housing at appropriate income levels in locations that support the needs of everyone throughout the region. In collaboration with the Lehigh Valley Planning Commission (LVPC), this TAP is the second part of a series of engagements, including an event to examine existing data in February and a presentation of recommendations and findings from the TAP in June.
