Event Recap: Spring Forward 2022 – Real Estate (Re)Forecast
ULI Philadelphia hosted its first Spring Forward series featuring a review of the 2022 ULI Real Estate Economic Forecast report.
Kevin Moran, Executive Director, ULI Philadelphia
ULI Philadelphia is excited to announce that Kevin Moran has been promoted to Executive Director of the non-profit and membership organization, with a mission to shape the future of the built environment for transformative impact in communities worldwide. Moran assumes the role from Laura Slutsky, who served as Executive Director for six years.
As Senior Manager and Director of ULI Philadelphia since 2019, and previous Executive Director of local community development organizations, Moran brings a passion for sustainable land use and in-depth knowledge of ULI to the leadership role. Over the last three years, Moran has led and grown ULI Philadelphia’s technical assistance program, built the local product council network, was instrumental in supporting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives, and has been involved with almost all strategic priorities and programmatic work during his tenure.
“We are thrilled to have Kevin step into the role of Executive Director,” said Anne Cummins, Chair of ULI Philadelphia and Chief Operating Officer of Gattuso Development Partners. “Our region and our industry are at a critical moment as we navigate housing, equitable economic development, and environmental challenges, while continuing to champion a more diverse and inclusive profession. Kevin has the skills, knowledge, and passion to enable ULI Philadelphia and its members to face these challenges head on and create a lasting impact.”
“Over last few years, seeing ULI members meet the moment time and time again, has been an inspiring experience that affirms the optimism I have about the future of our industry and our communities. ULI and its members are natural bridge builders working across sectors and boundaries to solve some of today’s most complex real estate and land use challenges. I couldn’t be more honored to step into this role and work side by side with our members, or more appreciative of the strong organization and culture that Laura has shaped.”

Laura Slutsky, who led the organization for the last six years, is moving on to focus on housing and community development work in markets throughout the country, while continuing to advance the ULI mission as a member. During her time in leadership, Slutsky helped strengthen the membership and impact of ULI Philadelphia facilitating two strategic plans, developing new member-led programs like UrbanPlan that connects students and community leaders to land use fundamentals through an interactive simulation, and navigating the organization through unprecedented challenges.
Prior to ULI, Moran served as the Executive Director of the Northern Liberties Business Improvement District and the Executive Director of Fairmount Community Development Corporation. Moran also serves as adjunct faculty at Temple University’s Tyler School of Art and Architecture. He has a B.A. and M.A. from Villanova University.
