Recap: Tour of Strawberry Square in Harrisburg

Strawberry Square has been re-booted after 35 years with $25 million in redevelopment including a new 200,000-square-foot master lease with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. On Thursday September 15th, ULI members learned about three residential projects that are changing the face of the region. Brad Jones, President and CEo of Harristown Development Corporation, led this exclusive tour. Projects toured included: F@TT – 15 apartments located in a restored historic building SoMa on Third – 14 apartments in 5 restored historic buildings along Third Street The Flats at Strawberry Square – 22-unit residential reuse project

Philadelphia Named a Leader in New Construction Walkability

Redfin recently published a survey examining which major US cities were building walkable infrastructure. By examining the percentage of new homes with a walk score higher than the city walk score, Redfin proclaimed Philadelphia number one. “Philly is on fire when it comes to walkable new construction,” said Redfin agent Tom Lewis.
