ULI Philadelphia is soliciting proposals from savvy emerging real estate entrepreneurs to showcase and pitch their real estate small to mid-scale development projects at ULI Philadelphia’s annual Shark Tank. Chosen presenters will gain exposure to industry professionals, including a wide array of lenders, private investors, developers, architects, and others who could provide strategic expertise to help bring their project to fruition. Candidates will be chosen based on real estate development experience, the ability to make a concise and captivating presentation, and an active and interesting deal. The deadline to submit proposals is January 10, 2025.

Presenter Expectations and Program Format

Selected presenters are expected to participate in 1-2 planning conference calls with ULI Philadelphia Shark Tank committee members and the moderator. The event is on January 29, 2025, from 4:30 – 7:00pm at BEX at One Commerce Square.

The program is comprised of two vignettes, one for each presenter. Each vignette consists of a 10-15 minute PowerPoint presentation to the Sharks with enough meat for the Sharks to sink their teeth into. Presentations will be followed by 10-15 minute moderated discussion with the Sharks and the audience. Some important components to include:

• Project summary
• Firm’s track record
• Specific financing needs/capital stack
• Market context
• Presenter background and experience
