James Landon and Douglas Hershman join Jay White as Delaware Regional Satellite Council Co-Chairs
The Delaware Regional Satellite Council of Urban Land Institute Philadelphia (ULI Philadelphia) has announced that James A. Landon and Douglas M. Hershman will join Jay L. White as Delaware Regional Satellite Council co-chairs. The Delaware Council engages the state’s public and private sector members through events and programs, and supports membership and community outreach throughout Delaware.
James A. Landon is a Partner at Morris James in the firm’s Real Estate Practice group. James’ practice primarily focuses on real estate transactions and land use, but he has been involved with many aspects of construction and real estate investment throughout his career.
Douglas M. Hershman, Director at Cooch and Taylor, brings a background of real estate law and banking to this leadership position. Douglas has represented all aspects of the real estate industry throughout Delaware and its surrounding regions.
Landon and Hershman join existing co-chair Jay L. White, President of Apex Realty Advisory. Jay has experience in real estate valuation, advisory, and consulting experience, which has been a great asset to ULI during his tenure. He is eager to work with the new leadership on growing the Delaware Regional Satellite Council, and implementing new initiatives and strategies.
In addition to their responsibilities to the Council, they also serve on ULI Philadelphia’s Advisory Board. The Advisory Board serves as the local leadership for ULI Philadelphia and is made up of a diverse group of leading real estate and land use professionals who volunteer their time to build a strong Philadelphia presence for ULI. The Advisory Board leadership position is a highly valued volunteer contribution to the Institute and our District Council.
“We are thrilled to welcome Jim and Doug to the ULI Philadelphia Delaware District Council leadership team,” said Antonio Fiol-Silva, Chair of ULI Philadelphia and Founding Principal of SITIO Architecture + Urbanism. “Jay has done an excellent job of growing and enhancing the Council during his term, and we are excited to see the new leadership team continue to advance the mission of ULI in Delaware.”
