Members of the Resilience Committee joined an exclusive tour of the newly renovated and expansion of Swarthmore College Sharples Dining Hall and Community Commons buildings. Members first heard a short presentation from Kyle MacGeorge, PE LEED AP, Associate, Langan, on the complexities of the project expanding the existing building into the arboretum landscape, designing routes for geothermal-exchange pipes and distribution lines, and creating new stormwater management systems. Following the presentation, members toured the grounds to see geothermal-exchange pipes being installed and network of utilities below grade that will service the entire campus. In partnership with CREW Philadelphia and The CCIM Institute, ULI Philadelphia hosted a members-only property tour, developer’s talk and networking reception at 3151 Market, Philadelphia’s next-generation innovation building, meticulously designed with sustainability at its core, featuring state-of-the-art lab and office space, premier amenities, and a prime location at the center of the region’s flourishing life science and tech ecosystem. ULI Philadelphia hosted a special presentation and conversation on the process and outcomes of a technical assistance workshop to support the City of Philadelphia’s Division of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) and Philadelphia Housing Development Corporation (PHDC). To support efforts to reduce carbon in the built environment in Philadelphia, ULI Philadelphia partnered with DHCD and PHDC to host a two-day technical assistance workshop focused on best practices and lessons learned in retrofitting existing affordable housing developments to preserve their affordability and become carbon neutral. ULI Philadelphia partner, Black Squirrel Collective, launched the 2nd cohort of the Philly RiSE Accelerator, through training, networking, and access to property and capital, Philly RiSE increases the number of homes built by diverse developers, contractors, and workforce. Learn more.
Membership Committee + Forecast and Capital Markets Committee Partner to Enhance Member Experience at This Year’s Real Estate Forecast
This week, the Membership Committee partnered with the Forecast and Capital Market Committee to discuss ways to make this year’s Real Estate Forecast a great experience for members. ULI Industrial Product Council Hosts First Meeting of the Year
The ULI Philadelphia Industrial Product Council met for their first meeting of the program year. Their meeting featured a special presentation with Ryan Mair and Christian Lancaster from St. Onge, a global supply chain strategy and logistics company. They shared insights on the industrial labor market outlook, challenges, and solutions for the Greater Philadelphia region. The Industrial Product Council is accepting applications for members! ULI Southern New Jersey Regional Council Kicks Off Program Year
