On Wednesday, July 25, ULI Philadelphia held their “Coastal Resiliency: Atlantic City Seawall” event in New Jersey. Because of impending thunderstorms, the event was moved inside where Stephen Rochette and Keith Watson from the US Army Corps of Engineers Philadelphia District presented about their work on the Absecon Inlet seawall. The Army Corps broke ground in 2015 amid growing concerns over rising sea levels and increasing storm intensity and recently finished the seawall in April 2018. Afterwards, attendees joined Mark Ganter from Little Water Distillery for a tasting and tour of the first legal craft distillery in Altantic City.
Thank you to the Army Corps for sharing this important and exciting project with us and to Little Water Distillery for sharing their space with us for the night!
