The Philadelphia Redevelopment Authority invites competitive proposals from developers to purchase and rehab the former Germantown YWCA structure at 5820-24 Germantown Avenue in Philadelphia’s Germantown neighborhood.

The proposed rehabilitation plan should take into consideration the neighborhood and provide an attractive, well-designed development that enhances the quality and physical appearance of the community. Renovation plans should be sensitive to the building’s historic context and preserve the building’s facade. Developers are encouraged to incorporate sustainable, “green” design features and building materials. Proposals should consider building performance objectives and Energy Star’s building design guidelines that integrate energy efficiency.
