Join ULI Philadelphia and the Women's Leadership Initiative for a fireside chat with Maleda Berhane, Principal & CEO, AR Spruce, and Mia Fioravanti, VP Corporate Affairs, HRP Group, about their experiences in development and increasing diversity in the sector.
Following the chat, all attendees are invited and encouraged to meet local W/MBE firms providing services across the real estate and land use sectors. During this “social hour” attendees can foster new connections and relationships that will help lead to a more equitable industry.

Jamie Doran
JacobsWyper Architects
Jamie Doran is the Co-Managing Partner at design firm JacobsWyper Architects. In her current role as Co-Managing Partner, Jamie shares the responsibility of steering business decisions, managing the growth and development of the team, and progressing the culture of the firm. She is a licensed architect, with more than twenty-four years of experience and has held a leadership position at JacobsWyper for more than eight years. Her design expertise is in the Science and Technology sector, which encompasses work for education and commercial clients, and is the foundation of what JacobsWyper has been built upon over the past 40+ years.

Maleda Berhane
Principal & CEO, AR Spruce LLC
Maleda Berhane is the Principal, CEO, and co-founder of AR Spruce LLC, a Philadelphia-based real estate services and development company that plans, creates and manages real estate. Maleda’s deep background in the real estate development, both as an equity partner and on a fee basis, encompasses expertise in management and oversight of the site selection, feasibility analysis, entitlement, design and construction processes. She leads the company’s project management services, including community, client, and vendor relations. AR Spruce was formed in 2020 by the merger of Spruce Real Estate Partners and AthenianRazak, providing greater depth and capabilities to both companies. Since the merger, the new company is experiencing significant growth. Prior to founding AR Spruce, Maleda led Spruce Real Estate Partners, which she founded in 2013. Before founding Spruce REP, Maleda was Director of Project Management Services at Concordis Real Estate Advisors for 10 years, where she represented corporate and institutional clients on real estate development and construction projects. Prior to that, she served as a Development Manager at Aegis Property Group, and Project Engineer for the Mid-Atlantic division of Skanska USA Building, Inc. Maleda graduated from Drexel University with a BS in Civil Engineering and BS in Architectural Engineering. AR Spruce is a nationally certified MBE and WBE firm.
