Join ULI Philadelphia for the next program in our (almost) monthly Member Breakfast Series, a conversation with SEPTA exploring Transit Supportive Community Development.
SEPTA is in the process of developing and implementing a comprehensive Transit Supportive Community Development ("TSCD") program to achieve the goals outlined in SEPTA Forward by fostering development patterns around stations and frequent transit services that are oriented around transit. To jumpstart this effort, SEPTA is developing a set of TSCD guidelines to lay out a clear path for implementation that build on the goals of individual community goals, context, and other efforts by SEPTA to make transit more useful to more people – such as Bus Revolution and Reimagining Regional Rail. SEPTA will discuss how it is approaching this process by building on past efforts to identify high potential station areas, coordinating with local community efforts, and even identifying priority SEPTA-owned properties for potential joint-development opportunities.
Light breakfast will be provided. This program is members-only and intended to be a dialogue between presenters and attendees. Venue will be announced shortly, in Center City Philadelphia.
