In southern New Jersey and throughout the national landscape, many suburban office and retail centers are underutilized and struggling to attract and retain tenants. In many cases, the single-use suburban model has lost its attraction because of changing demographics and lifestyles. Trends show millennials and boomers seeking a more mixed use and urban lifestyle, altering the way we look at commercial development.

“From Liability to Asset: Rethinking Commercial Property” will lay out the obstacles southern New Jersey developers and municipal leaders are facing and discuss some of the cutting-edge public/private strategies being used to successfully repurpose commercial property. Join mayors and developers as they discuss their municipality’s challenges and opportunities for repositioning underutilized commercial property into modern, mixed-use developments.

Joining moderator Susan Bass Levin, President and CEO of Cooper Foundation, will be:
    • Kelly Andress, Founder & President, Sage Life
    • Paul Medany, Mayor of Deptford Township
    • Mike Mignogna, Mayor of Voorhees Township
    • Chris Ressa, Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, DLC Management Corp.
