    Minta Kay

    Chair of Real Estate Industry Group and PropTech Co-Lead, Goodwin Procter

    Minta Kay is a partner in and chair of Goodwin’s Real Estate Industry group and has represented institutional investors, tax-exempts, real estate funds and owner/operators in connection with all aspects of their real estate investment transactions. Minta is also the co-chair of Goodwin’s PropTech practice, which is focused on supporting the intersection of Real Estate and Technology through thoughtful collaboration across the two practice areas. She is responsible for driving strategy across the two groups to effectively support clients involved in this converging area. Minta is well-equipped to help her clients navigate their business goals and challenges in the post-COVID world, as PropTech will become an integral part of their success. She is heavily involved in a variety of PropTech industry organizations, and has participated in conferences hosted by CREtech, MIPIM and MIT Center for Real Estate. Her expertise in this subject has led her to be quoted in The Wall Street Journal, Commercial Observer and Business Insider, to name a few. Minta currently serves on the CREtech Leadership Board as well as ULI’s Global Exchange Council. Minta’s keen understanding of the importance of connecting real estate and technology clients, paired with her collaborative nature, allows for even more natural synergy between these two practices.

    John Gilbert

    COO/EVP/CTO, Rudin Management Co., Inc.

    John is COO/EVP/CTO of Rudin Management Company (RMC).  RMC manages over 15 million square feet of commercial and residential space, the largest privately owned real estate company in NYC owned by the Rudin Family. John has been involved in every major project the company has developed over the last 24 years including the redevelopment and creation of the world’s first smart building at 55 Broad Street (1995-1996), the development of the Reuters Building at 3 Times Square (1998-2001), the redevelopment of the former ATT Long Lines Building at 32 Avenue of the Americas (1999-2002), the redevelopment of 130 West 12th Street (2010-2011), and the development of The Greenwich Lane (2006-2016).  He is also intimately involved with Rudin’s latest project, Dock 72, a ground up 675,000 foot office building located in the Brooklyn Navy Yard where ground was broken in April of 2016.  This project is a joint venture with WeWork and Boston Properties and will be completed in 2018. He is acknowledged nationally as an industry thought leader in the integration of technology into the built environment. As a co-inventor of Nantum® building operating system and Executive Chairman of Prescriptive Data, his vision is to future proof real estate by giving all buildings a 'brain'.

Prior to joining Navitas, Michael was a senior executive with Tishman Speyer for 30 years, during which he established its business internationally, led its innovation efforts, and chaired the Investment Committee.
