Regional Vice President of Development, Northeast , Michaels Organization

As Regional Vice President of Development for the Northeast Region, based in Camden, NJ, I oversee all affordable, workforce, conventional, and student development activities in New Jersey, New York, Delaware, and Pennsylvania. Through a long-term collaborative joint venture partnership, I am the lead developer of two significant projects in Arlington, Virginia, and at the Atlantic Civic Center in Atlanta, GA. Before this current role, I served as a Vice President of Development for Michaels Student Living, working primarily on conventional mixed-use multifamily and student housing in Minneapolis, MN, and the Boston Metropolitan region. I have always been passionate about responsible and sustainable residential development. Beginning my career serving the most vulnerable populations with permanent supportive housing, I continued with my passion for affordable housing on a larger scale, joining Michaels' affordable division in August 2008. In this role, leveraging my city planning training, I grew my technical and community development capacity, overseeing the financing, construction, and lease-up for seven mixed-finance developments in Jersey City and Camden, NJ, and crafting the affordable housing master plan for Franklin, TN. Given my long-term tenure at Michels, I am considered a role model and mentor to young developers and women. I actively participate in the Michaels Organization DEI Awards and the Standards & Procurement Committees. I have been a member of the Urban Land Institute Philadelphia Council since 2006 and have recently taken on the ULI South Jersey Council Co-Chair role. I have also volunteered with the Community Design Collaborative on three projects in Philadelphia.
