Hear key players from different industry perspectives deconstruct Philadelphia’s booming innovation landscape, how the real estate industry has supported this activity and how to position our city and region for future growth:

Moderator: Brian Selander, Entrepreneur in Residence at SeventySix Capital, the venture capital firm that co-founded the Microsoft Reactor, shares what it takes to make it as an entrepreneur in Philadelphia and what investors are looking for.

Lindsey Scannapieco, Managing Partner, Scout, on the redevelopment of Bok Vocational Hub into an innovation “maker” space for creatives, small-businesses, non-profits and beyond.

Joe Reagan, Senior Vice President for Development from Wexford Science + Technology, on ucity Square’s evolution and plans for expansion as a hub of innovation. Home to the Science Center’s Quorum, Microsoft’s Reactor and soon to be home of Cambridge Innovation Center’s shared office and lab and Venture Café’.

Anne Papageorge, Vice President of Facilities and Real Estate Services, University of Pennsylvania, on the role of anchor institutions in creating innovation ecosystems, like the Pennovation Works ‘where ideas go to work’.  Adjacent to the University campus, this 23-acre development provides facilities and amenities to bridge intellectual and entrepreneurial initiatives among University researchers, private sector innovators, and start-ups.

Stas Gayshan, Managing Director of the Cambridge Innovation Center on the CIC’s decision to locate at uCity in Philadelphia and the construction of CIC’s offices.
