The Cira Award Student Scholarship Program, sponsored by Brandywine Realty Trust, is designed to engage students in the thriving land use industry in Philadelphia. For one year, beginning in November 2018, winners will attend ULI Philadelphia events, receive exclusive mentorship from a Brandywine Executive, participate on the Young Leaders Council, and network with ULI members to enhance their educational endeavors and learn more about the real estate industry. Meet this year’s winners: Christopher Marshall and Jill Schoenfeld.
Christopher Marshall is currently completing a joint degree at the University of Pennsylvania comprised of an MBA from The Wharton School and a Master of City Planning from the School of Design. Before pursuing his graduate studies, Mr. Marshall worked for CWCapital Asset Management where he advised clients on how to structure new mortgage notes and also executed work-outs for mortgages in default. Prior to that, he worked in investment sales at Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels. Mr. Marshall holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Administration from Cornell University and is a member of the Urban Land Institute.
Jill Schoenfeld is a first-year student in the Master of City Planning program at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Design with a focus on Community and Economic Development. Jill moved to Philadelphia from New York City, where she worked as Community Liaison and Scheduling Director for a legislator in the New York State Assembly. Previously Jill supported the resiliency planning practice as a Research Analyst and Executive Assistant at HR&A Advisors, a real estate development and consulting firm. Jill graduated from Harvard College in 2013 with a BA in Sociology and Secondary Field in Spanish.
