Major Forum Initiatives Councils
Four different Major Forum Initiative Councils focus on planning all aspects of the major forums held in Philadelphia each fiscal year – an urban issues forum in September, Real Estate Forecast (capital markets) in November, regional/suburban issues in February and a marketplace of ideas and exhibits in June.
Urban Issues: Develop ideas, identify and solicit speakers for annual September major forum and a smaller educational event centered around urban issues. (Meets 2nd Tuesdays in February, April, June, August, October and December at 8:30am). Co-Chairs: Jay Appleton, 856-854-1880; John Haak, 215-683-4653; and Steve Mullin, 215-382-1894.
Regional Issues: Develop ideas, identify and solicit speakers for annual February/March major forum and a smaller educational event centered around regional and suburban issues. (Meets 3rd Tuesday in January, March, May, July, September and November at 8:30am). Co-Chairs: Antonio Fiol-Silva, 215-732-5215; and Joe Manko, 484-430-2310.
Capital Markets Issues: Develop ideas, identify and solicit speakers for annual November major forum and a smaller educational event centered around capital markets and financing. (Meets 3rd Thursdays in January, March, May, July, September and November at 8:30am.) Co-Chairs: Mike Cooper, 215-496-8183; and Jerry Roller, 215-928-9331.
Rotating “Topical” Issues: Develop ideas, identify and solicit speakers for annual June major forum. A great opportunity for new ideas and new leaders! Meets 2nd Fridays in November, January, March and May. Co-chair: Chris Terlizzi, 610-832-1889
