THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT!

The 2013 update to The Navy Yard Master Plan by the Philadelphia Industrial Development Corporation (PIDC) focuses on historic preservation, sustainability and smart growth, as well as integrating environmentally friendly workplaces, industrial development, great public spaces, waterfront and retail amenities, improved mass transit, and residential development.

The goal of the 2013 update is to reinforce and expand on the 2004 Plan’s vision of The Navy Yard as a dynamic, urban, mixed-use 1,200-acre campus.  Based on previous successes the new Plan concentrates on land uses east of Broad Street; features revised “Districts” which include more office buildings in the new Canal District; proposed residential development; expansion of public open spaces (including a five-acre “Central Green”); improved mass transit; and more.

This ULI Philadelphia marks the first gathering of the team members most intimately involved with the development and revision of the Plan, following a mid-January press conference unveiling by Mayor Michael A. Nutter and PIDC.   Speakers include:  Brian Berson, Director of Leasing and Development for the Navy Yard, Liberty Property Trust; Mark Celoni, Principal, Pennoni Associates; and Mark Seltzer, Director, Management & Development, PIDC. Special thanks to sponsors of this event – Liberty Property Trust, Pennoni Associates and PIDC.  And we thank our annual Young Leaders sponsors: TD Bank, Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company, and The Daniel M. DiLella Center for Real Estate at The Villanova University School of Business.
