On Friday, July 10th, 2009, Boston’s ULI district council will host members of the Young Leaders Group from the New York, Philadelphia, and Washington, DC markets for the fourth leg of the YLG Leadership Exchange Program. The purpose of the exchange program is to facilitate networking between YLG members from various cities and markets, as well as create awareness for projects and initiatives in each respective market that reflect the vision of Urban Land Institute. Boston’s exchange will highlight themes related to mixed-use development, infrastructure, sustainability, and adaptive re-use.

In 2008, exchange programs were held in each of the respective cities, where YLG members from each market were given an opportunity to tour unique land use projects in various stages of development. Some of the prior projects included the High Line and One Bryant Park in New York City the Anacostia Waterfront development in DC, and Northern Liberties in Philadelphia. Stops on the Boston Exchange include:

• MIT Assets, Kendall Square,
• One Franklin Street development, Boston
• Rose Kennedy Greenway, Boston
• Russia Wharf, Boston
• FP3 Residences, Boston

The tour will be followed by networking that will be open to all Boston YLG members.

This program is intended for ULI Young Leaders from Philadelphia, New York and Washington D.C.. Boston Young Leaders will receive a separate invitation for the networking event.
